Frequently Asked Questions

What tolerances can you achieve with CNC machining?

We regularly achieve tolerances of ±0.005 mm (±0.0002") on critical dimensions. Standard production tolerances are typically ±0.025 mm (±0.001"). Tighter tolerances are possible on specific features and materials depending on design requirements.

What is your minimum order quantity?

We have no minimum order quantity. Single-piece custom machining is welcome, as are prototype runs, small batches, and full production orders.

What file formats do you accept for CNC machining?

We accept STEP, IGES, DWG, PDF, and native files from SOLIDWORKS, AutoCAD, FreeCAD, and other CAD software. Please include all dimensions, tolerances, material specs and surface finish requirements.

What surface finishes are available after CNC machining?

Standard CNC produces Ra 0.8–3.2 µm depending on tooling and material. Additional finishing — polishing, anodising, plating, powder coating — is available through our surface finishing department.

What is your typical lead time for CNC machining?

Prototypes: 3-5 business days from approval. Small production: 1-2 weeks. Larger quantities: 2-4 weeks depending on complexity. Rush orders accommodated with expedited fees.

Do you offer material traceability and certifications?

Yes. Material certificates of conformance (CoC), heat lot numbers, chemical composition, CMM reports and manufacturing records. ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100 certifications.
