Meet the Engineering Team

JLYPT is an engineer-led shop. When you send a drawing, it lands on the desk of a senior programmer who has machined similar parts hundreds of times.

Engineering-Driven, Not Sales-Driven

Our team is built around long-tenure engineers, most with 10 to 25 years of CNC experience across aerospace, medical, robotics and high-performance consumer goods. That depth shows up in the small things — DFM feedback that anticipates fixture issues, programs that hit the print on the first run, inspection reports that go straight into your incoming-quality system.

No drawing is handed off to a junior operator without a senior review. No first-article ships without a manager-signed CMM report. No customer programme is run without a dedicated English-speaking engineering liaison.

Roles & Expertise

Senior leadership stays close to the shop floor. Every role below has direct ownership of the work that touches your parts.

Chief Manufacturing Engineer

25+ years

Focus: 5-axis strategy, hard-milling, titanium and Inconel

Leads process validation for regulated industries. Former line leader at a Tier-1 aerospace supplier; owns our AS9100D-aligned work instructions.

Senior CNC Programming Lead

18 years

Focus: Mastercam / PowerMill / hyperMILL, Swiss-type lathes

Writes and reviews the programs behind our tightest-tolerance parts. Pioneered our adaptive-toolpath playbook that halves cycle time on stainless and titanium.

DFM & Applications Engineer

12 years

Focus: Design-for-machining reviews, cost engineering

First engineer to read every new drawing. Flags radii, tolerances, thread callouts and fixturing risks before quoting, typically within 12 business hours.

Quality & Metrology Manager

15 years

Focus: CMM programming, GD&T, FAI / PPAP documentation

Runs our climate-controlled inspection lab (Zeiss CMM, Keyence optical, Mitutoyo surface roughness). Signs off every first-article report personally.

Surface Finishing Specialist

14 years

Focus: Type II / Type III anodising, PVD, electroless nickel

Owns the finishing process window, including masking strategy and salt-spray validation. Manages partnerships with our plating sub-processors.

Customer Engineering Liaison

10 years

Focus: Customer communication, project management

Your single English-speaking point of contact from RFQ through delivery. Native-level technical English with hands-on shop-floor experience.

Engineers, Not Just Operators

The difference between a job shop and a manufacturing partner is the engineering that happens before the first chip is cut. Our team pairs skilled machinists with application engineers who review every design for manufacturability — flagging a wall that’s too thin, a tolerance that inflates cost, or a material that fights the process. That DFM feedback comes free with every quote and routinely saves customers cost and lead time before they commit.

This is the same expertise our engineers put into the in-depth guides in our technical knowledge base — practical, shop-floor knowledge on GD&T and tolerances, cost reduction, and machining difficult materials.

The Expertise Behind Every Part

Precision manufacturing is a systems discipline — machine, material, tooling, process and inspection all have to line up. Our engineers cover the full range so each part goes to the right process, not just an available one.
